(Alexa Katherine x Cristofori’s Encore) x (James’s Prissy Kristi) Sev. 5.5 - 6" fl. 25" sc. M 25 buds. Fertile both ways. This flower is named for my grandfather who had the courage to leave France to come to the U.S. after World War One. The petal color is a beautiful clear purple, with a lighter watermark surrounding a green throat. The very ruffled petals are surrounded by a gold to chartreuse edge. The plants have good rust resistance and are cold hardy. Earl of Essex and Jules Louis Petit have been my most heavily used parents in my purple and lavender lines for the last several years. Simply beautiful and a fantastic parent.
